The House State Government Committee will hold an informational meeting on House Bill 1835, a piece of legislation co-sponsored by Reps. David Parker and Mary Jo Daley to create an independent impartial citizens redistricting commission.
The legislation would create strict guidelines for redistricting that govern public participation, transparency and compactness.
The public is welcome to attend.

Time: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Place: G50 Irvis Office Building in Harrisburg
Can’t make it? Written comment can be submitted. It should be titled “written comment on HB 1835” and emailed to Ahockenb@pahousegop.com and Pneugard@pahousegop.com. The deadline for submissions is Aug. 15.
